Letters and Forms: Third Grade
Welcome Letter
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Third Grade! I am so excited about this upcoming year and I know that your child is going to succeed.

My name is Rebecca Jones and this is my first year teaching. I cannot wait to learn from your child. I studied education at North Georgia College and State University for four years and I have my Dual Seal Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education.

The goal for this school year is to push your child to their fullest potential. Third grade is very different and presents many new challenges for your child and we are going to work together to help them excell academically. I believe in using many different teaching styles because children have many different learning styles. I will be using whole group, small group, and individual teaching teach to give your child as many opporitunities to succeed as possible. Your child will be very active in my classroom and my expectations from my students will always be very clear.

You are welcome to send a snack and a water bottle everyday for your child. I do not mind them eating one snack per day in my class. Whenever they need to eat it is ok with me. No candy please. Please provide a water bottle with some type of lid to prevent spills. Lunch is at 12:05 eat day and you are always invited to come eat with us when you can.

Please send all lunch or ice cream money in a small baggie or envelope with your child's first and last name on it. Your child is responsible for turning thier lunch money in to me first thing in the morning.

Again, I am very excited about this year and I cannot wait to ge to know you and your child. If you ever have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at the school or by email. My email is rjjone8385@northgeorgia.edu and my school extension is #7754.

Thanks,
Miss Jones
